I Smell You Already
Why do people wear too much perfume or cologne? I'm assuming they showered--with soap. They probably used some shampoo. Then stop. Clean smell has been achieved. Now I'm not saying don't wear a scent. Au contraire. But a cologne or perfume should work with our bodies. Forcing people to smell you actually takes the focus away from you. Are you hiding behind an air freshener? Wear little or no perfume and people will notice...you.
Here's a test. Smell your arm before you put anything on. OK? Now, if you cannot smell your own arm--your own skin--after applying the perfume/cologne--you used too much. And here's a tip. One spray from a from a $50 bottle of Whatever is too much. Trust me. The spray-and-step-into method is an improvement but it's still probably too much. You probably don't wear loud clothing or makeup or have a crazy hair style. So why do you want a loud smell? Err on the side of me not being able to smell you.
