Beverage Bottle Thingy
| My Rubbermaid beverage bottle thingy saved my butt this morning. I guess a little background is needed. See I make a protein shake in the morning which goes in the beverage bottle thingy and then I drink it when I get to work. I carry it my backpack along with my lunch, water bottle, snake bite kit, etc. I walk from Structure 7 so I cover about a mile and I'm careful to pack everything neatly for the journey.
So this morning I get to my office, open my backpack and -- shock -- somehow it had turned sideways and fallen to the bottom of everything! But I looked again and everything was safe and dry. The flip-top lid had stayed put. Yeah! |

The lid has a solid hinge so it can be opened and closed a bazillion times without a problem. This is better than the "floppy" bend-around type caps which eventually weaken and crack. The other design feature I've come to appreciate about this bottle thingy are its smooth sides. My last container had that tiny, knobby finish. I've found that over time this type of surface will attract sediment buildup even with daily rinsing. This rubbermaid stays clean clean clean.
Oh and speaking of nice designs, I must give a shout out to Logitech MX 1000 cordless mouse (pictured next to my Rubbermaid bottle thermos thingy). The MX 1000 is hands-down the kewlest mouse I have ever used. It may not be noticeable in the photo but the mouse has 10 programmable buttons. It even has horizontal scrolling. Neat neat neat.
Oh and maybe one of the most important features of the MX 1000 is it's recharegable battery. Unfortunately this is still a rarity in cordless mice. So the MX 1000 is environmentally friendly. And the rechargeable battery is strong. I can go 2-3 days without ever putting it back in it's cradle.
ps. In the foreground is the Microsoft Natural Ergo Keyboard 4000. Ohmygosh! it's like driving a Mercedes. Sooo effortless, and every button and preset you could possibly wish for -- even the calculator. This is an ergonomic keyboard. So I don't want to hear you whine about how "...it's hard to type, blah blah..." Get over it and get used to it. Without a doubt it is the nicest keyboard I have ever touched. At $49 it is a flippin steal!
