| It's a great word. One of my personal favorites. But for some reason Microsoft Word's spell checker is clueless. Muckromedia DreamWeezer doesn't like it either.
Have no fear, Encarta* to the rescue. They have a definition for doofus in their dictionary. Kind of odd that Encarta (a Microsoft property) would have the entry but Word does not.
Anyhoo, it's an extremely fun word to say. I highly recommend it as an addition to your daily vocabulary. Try it out at your next cocktail party.
* I use Encarta because I'm tired of the incessant popups over at dictionary.com. Losers! |
