Bill "rock star" Clinton
So this is what former president Bill Clinton looks like, when you don't show up early to the party. See him? Don't feel bad. I didn't see much more. BTW, if you don't live in Tempe, I have to tell you it was a beautiful day!
| Anyhoo it was really great to get out and hear him speak yesterday. Lots of people in attendance. Last time I saw him was in Portland, OR in 1996. Has it been 10 years?! Holycow. He was received like a rock star then and it was the same vibe yesterday.
He did not speak long, maybe 20 minutes. Iraq, record debt and jobs going oversees are some of the topics I recall. Whomever organized the production did not elevate the stage nor did they mic it adequately. So seeing more than his head was impossible and whenever people would talk or clap it was difficult to hear. But still, this obviously wasn't an opportunity that I often have and I was thankful to be able to attend. |
