Casa Grande...6 Degrees Cooler than Phoenix
Saturday evening went out to Casa Grande where my mom was playing host to a few of her new neighbors. CG will grow like a weed in the coming years but right now it feels like you're out in the middle of nowhere. Lots of farmland and not a whole lot to do if you aren't retired. And no Trader Joe's or nice restaurants. However, that was not an issue Sunday thanks to Jim's gourmet cooking. Ribs with homemade barbecue sauce, spicy Polish sausage and homemade bread were the highlights for me. Top that off with a glass of white wine, great company and a beautiful moon rise -- it was fun. It was 73° F in CG and 79° arriving back in the Valley.
