Windows Vista Trivia

Saw some interesting trivia about Windows Vista. I can't take credit for these, they were sent around in an email here at ASU and I think they might have first appeared on the Vista blog. Anyhoo just thought I'd format and post for your Monday morning enjoyment.

An estimated 4,000 engineers worked on the development of Windows Vista.

Contains ~50 million lines of code.

6 consumer versions of Windows Vista (including upgrades).

400 million new PCs expected to be shipped worldwide in the next two years±.

368 million new PCs expected to be shipped worldwide loaded with Windows Vista.

36 builds of Windows Vista released before RC1.

5 million testers with access to release candidate 1.

3.758.096.384 bytes [3.5GB] in Vista beta 2 the release of which is believed to be the largest download in history.

± Buy some shares of Microsoft [MSFT]. You'd think Vista's release would already be built into the price but the stock really has not moved much this fall.
