So I go out to my truck this morning and there is a bee resting on the door. He looked tired. I carefully unlocked my door, got in and closed it behind me. None of this activity prompted him to fly off. I am not a bee expert but I concluded he was probably dying. (Is it true they die after they use their stinger? )

Isn't he cute? Holycow I want one! The smart fortwo car is coming to the USA in 2008. This model is known as the smart fortwo "passion". According the manufacturer's web site the car will list at about $14,000. That is half the price of a Prius and better gas mileage too! Smart is a member of the Mercedes Car Group but from what I read on their web site, the car may not be sold at Mercedes dealerships. It will be interesting to see which USA car dealers will carry it.

So I flew back east this past week. It was the first time I have flown in over a year. Not that flying is "fun" per say but it seems to me that every year it is less enjoyable, and more of a chore. Family and friends are no longer able to greet us at the gates. Carry-on baggage is limited more and more each year. Shoes must be removed at the security checkpoint. And now liquid containers must be under 3 oz. (90 ml), else placed in baggage that is checked in.
I was not aware of this latest rule (and later felt a bit foolish for not knowing). There was nothing about it in my confirmation email or printed boarding pass. And no loudspeaker announcements at Phoenix Sky Harbor (T. F. Green in Rhode Island was broadcasting the 3 oz. limit). Clueless, I wove through line in front of security, subconsciously noting of to one side a courtesy bin of Ziploc bags. I did think that was a bit curious. It was was my first and only warning.

It is a gorgeous Easter Sunday in Phoenix. I just got back from brunch with my mom. Called OT because we have been planning to play tennis today. He wants to go to the hockey game first. So we will play this evening. Hope I get to sleep at a decent hour.

Useless Trivia: I remember sitting in high school freshman algebra and someone had brought their Restless & Wild album into class. That is one of my earliest "heavy metal" memories. One of the first times I recall noticing their was a genre of music out there that made rock n roll seem so...mainstream.

Bummer. I did not make my goal of four health and fitness posts by today. I did really well though. My last three posts on the subject are pretty good. And today I played tennis with OT and I got three blisters. My racket seemed like it was sliding around a lot. Maybe I was still tired, having run the court with Lynda yesterday afternoon.
