Ghoulie - In Loving Memory
Ghoulie passed away this afternoon; she was 14. I was with her when she was euthanized. It was heart wrenching. I got Ghoulie when she was seven months old. It was 1995, a few days before I moved to Portland, and Ghoulie made the drive with me on the front seat of my truck. She was a brave and playful pup when she was younger, even going as far as to wrestle with my mom's Cocker Spaniel. She became more shy and quiet as she got older but she was always up for playing with a crumpled up piece of paper -- any paper would do. She liked the sound of the crinkling paper. Every night, after I turned out the lights, she would come back to my room and hop on my bed where she slept. I will miss her.
