Limey the Lime Tree

I had this thing for a while where every night I wanted a cold highball glass^± of Caffeine-Free Coca-Cola Classic and a lime wedge. Have you tried Coke with real lime? Mmmm! Well, I am sort of off that lately. But I also like gin and tonics. Tanqueray and tonic, one of my favorite summertime alcoholic drinks. And gotta have a lime squeeze or two in those.

When my mom moved back Arizona I was teasing her that she should plant a lime tree in her backyard. She asked why. So I could have limes for my drinks :) I really wanted a lime tree. Well, mom got a me a lime tree for my birthday. Isn't that kewl? I think it was a flippin' sweet idea. My dad helped me plant it and everyone suggested the same name for him: "Limey". Limey it is.

± Not with alcohol, but having it in that glass makes the drink seem "special" so I am more apt to sip it, and therefore, drink less of it!

A photo of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Harwich, MA where funeral mass was held for my uncle Bob on Wednesday, April 11^th. The service was very touching and his son-in-law Sean read a beautiful eulogy aded his own very poignant comments about Bob. It was a beautiful crisp, sunny April day outside. All of his family were present and I am sure he knew that, and was at peace.

Don't worry, there was a happy ending. I actually had time to fetch my camera as Cyber followed this bird around the edge of our balcony. I knew she wouldn't jump at it but still this birdie ought to be more careful next time.

Get Psyched!

Ever have one those days where you wanted a good workout but literally did not have a minute, nor the energy, to spare? Where was this guy when I needed him? Haha. I have my next five days planned out though and four of them include workouts.

Feeling psyched and positive is not just about exercise though. You can give your enthusiasm level a supportive jolt anytime you want. Pump your fist in the air and yell "yes"! You cannot do that and not feel better about yourself. It is impossible. Pretty kewl huh? Try it again. Fist in air..."Yaahhh"! See what I mean.
