I had this thing for a while where every night I wanted a cold highball glass± of Caffeine-Free Coca-Cola Classic and a lime wedge. Have you tried Coke with real lime? Mmmm! Well, I am sort of off that lately. But I also like gin and tonics. Tanqueray and tonic, one of my favorite summertime alcoholic drinks. And gotta have a lime squeeze or two in those.
When my mom moved back Arizona I was teasing her that she should plant a lime tree in her backyard. She asked why. So I could have limes for my drinks :) I really wanted a lime tree. Well, mom got a me a lime tree for my birthday. Isn't that kewl? I think it was a flippin' sweet idea. My dad helped me plant it and everyone suggested the same name for him: "Limey". Limey it is.
± Not with alcohol, but having it in that glass makes the drink seem "special" so I am more apt to sip it, and therefore, drink less of it!
